Caleb's Birthday Celebration

The day had finally come! After eight months, almost to the day, I would get to hug my Mom and Dad. The morning was bittersweet because being reunited with Mom and Dad also meant our time with Bob and Ann was coming to an end. It was a quiet, emotional filled drive, to the thumb. I enjoyed taking in the beauty of the fields as we made our way to Papa Dave and Grandma Sandy's new home in Sandusky. After being greeted in the drive and receiving the much awaited hugs, we made our way inside to see family and begin the celebration of Caleb's birthday! Caleb opened his cards and gifts and went on a search to find all the toys and balloons Grandma had placed around the house. Everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch. We ended our celebration with ice cream and sprinkles and some of Grandma's amazing chocolate chip cookies. After many hugs, everyone headed for home. I enjoyed a visit with my brother as I marveled at his handiwork throughout the house he had remolded for Mom and Dad. We then made our way outside where Papa was inflating the bouncy house! Caleb spent the remainder of the day playing outside and with birthday gifts. It was like we had never been away.

You can't go wrong with Grandma's chocolate chip cookies and ice cream with sprinkles!

Ready to bounce, but Mommy has to come along

Not my most graceful moment.
Getting out was not nearly as easy as getting in!
