Fall Color on Mt. Lemmon

My favorite season had arrived! However, fall in Arizona doesn't exactly have the same feel as it does in Michigan. Changing leaves and crisp, cool autumn air are not things found in Tucson unless, of course, you're willing to make the journey up Mt. Lemmon!  Matt read that color had been reported on the mountain, and that weekend we were on a mission to find it! We had reached 8000 feet, and we were beginning to wonder if what Matt had read was accurate. There was no color to be found, but we trekked on! Not too much further down the road, we arrived at the Mount Lemmon Ski Valley to find it ablaze with color! The air was crisp and the display of color was spectacular! Thank you God for placing a little piece of Northern Michigan in the desert for us to discover and enjoy! What a gift!

On the Field at Arizona Stadium

Yesterday, Matt celebrated his one year anniversary with the University of Arizona! It is hard to believe that Tucson has been our home through all four seasons. At first, it was difficult for us to imagine rallying for a team other than the Spartans. However, it didn't take long for us to embrace the Wildcats! I'm incredibly proud of my husband and what he has accomplished in his first year. It was an honor to enter Arizona Stadium and step onto the football field he maintains! It was an incredible experience that we were able to share with Gram and Papa during their last full day in Tucson.

San Diego Model Railroad Museum

We wrapped up our tour of San Diego with a visit to Balboa Park and the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. It was the perfect ending for our little train enthusiast! This incredibly family friendly museum gives children the opportunity to get an up close view of each exhibit! In addition, the museum has a playroom with multiple train tables and toy trains. Caleb could have spent hours in this room alone! The trip had a little something for everyone, but more importantly, we were together making memories that we will carry with us for a lifetime! Thank you Gram and Papa for inviting us to share in this journey! We had a blast!
