Sierra Vista & Monkey Business

On Saturday, March 3rd, we decided to take a scenic drive. We headed south toward Sierra Vista. The desert has yet to look the same in any two places we've explored. Sierra Vista sits at 4623 ft above sea level and has significantly cooler temps. Like Tucson, Sierra Vista is surrounded by mountains. We were approximately 20 miles from the Mexican border. It was quite an experience passing through border control check points and seeing the border patrol blimp flying overhead. On our way back, we saw fighter planes from WWII to present practicing for an upcoming air show. That evening we decided to try something new for dinner. Matt suggested we give Monkey Business a try. Monkey Business is like Chuck E. Cheese's, but family owned. It's located right down the road from us. It was definitely the place to be. We ordered our pizza and found a table next to a TV that had Phineas and Ferb on (Caleb's request). With quarters in hand, Matt and Caleb found their way to the arcade games. After sampling the available games, Caleb took his tickets over to the prize counter where he selected a sticker. He brought his remaining 4 tickets back to the table, and we enjoyed our pizza. It was then back to the arcade. Caleb and Daddy drove race cars and racked up more tickets with a fishing game. He tried out a space ship ride, but found it to be too noisy. He ended the night with 33 tickets, and it was back to wait in line at the counter.  Matt asked Caleb if he wanted to keep his tickets until the next visit and get ice cream or if he wanted to wait for a prize. He wanted to wait for a prize. It was finally his turn. He selected a tiny toy dog for 25 tickets. It was green with spots. With the remaining 8 tickets he chose some play money for his toy cash register. At lunch yesterday, he asked if we could go back to Monkey Business. He then said, "It's so cool there!"

  1. How appropriate to have a place called "Monkey Business" given Caleb's collection of all things monkey.
