Marana Pumpkin Patch

The Marana Pumpkin Patch is family fun at its best! Excitement abounds in the days leading up to this annual tradition. This year we decided to beat the heat and the crowds by planning a weekday visit. I think it was our best trip yet! Our afternoon was filled with train and tractor rides, a corn maze, climbing straw mountain and taking in our very first pig race. Our pig even came in first place, winning us a refreshing snow cone! Caleb enjoyed petting the bunnies and newborn goats at the petting farm. The best yet was the giant jumping pillows! The laughter we share bouncing on those pillows is worth the admission alone! As evening approached, we made our way to the pumpkin patch and selected our family of pumpkins. With 60 lbs of pumpkins in hand and hours of family fun behind us, we made our way home reminiscing all the way.

Bear Wallow

Michigan is most on my mind during the autumn season. I long to hear the crunch of leaves under my feet and gaze upon the vibrant trees set aglow by the sun. Every year Matt is determined to give me that experience,  if only for a day. Tucked in the Catalina Mountains, off a little dirt road, is a treasure trove of nature's beauty just waiting to be discovered. I like to believe that God placed those trees there just for me, a Midwest girl far from home.
